Ways To Solve Problems With Electric Bicycle Motor
We know that electric bicycles are powered by motors and motors need batteries to give them power. Therefore, motors are important to electric bikes and without motors the electric bikes can not run. However, when there are some problems with electric bicycle motors, we may find it is hard to fix these problems because few of us are familiar with motors. However, in this article I would like to give you some good ways to solve the problems occurred on the electric bike motors and I hope these ways can help you solve your problems.
Situation one: the motor can still running but there is no movement of the electric bicycle.
When you find that your electric bicycle have the above problem, you should firstly apply the speed to the throttle to see whether the engine revs. Then you should check that whether the back wheel spins when revving the engine. If the back wheel of the electric bike does not spin, then one of the drive belts is likely to be loose. Moreover, you should check the drive belt, drive chain and sprocket of the bike. If they are worn out you can replace it with a new one. In this way your electric bicycle will be running.
Situation two: both of your electric bicycle and electric bikes motors do not run.
First, you should check out that whether your electric bike battery is plugged properly and all the connectors of electric bicycle battery are working. Then, you should make sure that your battery is full of charge and your battery charger is also in good condition. Test the electric bicycle battery charger and see whether it is working. If you find that your electric bicycle charger and battery are all good, then there must be something wrong with the electric bicycle motor itself.
